To sharpen your tech skills in this great environment, register for the 2020 UCET Conference in Provo, Utah.

When, Where and Why of the UCET Conference

The Utah Coalition for Educational Technology puts on the UCET Conference each year. This event serves as an opportunity for education professionals to learn more about integrating technology with classroom experiences. Teachers often leave the conference with renewed enthusiasm and many new ideas.

This year’s conference will take place on March 10 and 11, 2020. Participants will gather at the Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo.

The cost to attend the conference is $55 for one day or $70 for both days. Attendees who register by February 1 will save $15 off the one- or two-day rate. Discounted registrations are available for pre-service teachers.

2020 UCET Conference Highlights

You’ll find plenty to keep you busy during the UCET Conference. Make sure to set aside time to hear the two keynote addresses. Matt Miller of Ditch That Textbook is Tuesday’s keynote speaker, and Richard Cullata of the International Society for Technology in Education will take the stage on Wednesday. There will also be a variety of workshops throughout the two days.

The exhibit hall is a great place to view some of the latest products that tech and education companies have to offer. You can meet with representatives from organizations like Adobe, Microsoft, Nearpod, Google, and Mathspace. Additional vendors include Imagine Learning, Instructure, Promethean, and Padcaster. The playground area in the center of the exhibit hall is a space where you’ll have hands-on opportunities to check out some of the latest classroom tech ideas.

This year, attendees are invited to participate in Share Your Story activities. At stations throughout the venue, you can use written words, face-to-face conversations, or digital media to tell others about your teaching experiences. You might even win a participation prize!

You can receive credit for attending the conference. Choices include one hour of college credit from Southern Utah University, one hour of in-service credit from the Utah State Board of Education, or up to 14 licensure points. An additional fee applies for some options.
