Education Professionals Share Insights at the WSSDA Annual Conference  

The Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA) 2019 conference is a chance to network with other directors and educational professionals and learn how to create sustainable change in the school system. The mission of the association is to empower school districts to provide the tools that students need to succeed in school and life. The association conducts programs to educate and present innovations in school leadership. It also advocates for legislation that will benefit school districts, and ultimately, the students.

His specialty is creating connections between students and communities. His passion will empower and ignite district leaders to connect and engage communities surrounding the schools.

Erin Jones is an award-winning educator in diverse environments. She has played a crucial role in inspiring change and brings her passion and innovative ideas to the conference during her luncheon session.

Robert Hand will present the closing address. He was awarded 2019 Washington State Teacher of the Year and engages students with his energy and positivity. He will share his message about teaching the whole child and the importance of relationships in academic success.

This inspiring conference will energize and inspire leaders for the upcoming year. In addition to this exciting schedule of keynote speakers, there will also be a host of exhibitors with the latest innovations and tools that can be used to help take schools into the next decade of excellence.

This year’s conference will be held November 21–24, 2019, at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. A pre-conference will be held on Thursday, November 21, that covers topics about laws and open government training. The General Conference will take place from Friday the 22nd through Sunday the 24th. It will be a time to connect for the purpose of fostering an atmosphere of connection between students, communities, educators, and boards to build a better future. This year’s conference promises to be an inspirational and transformative experience.
